A sun dog or sundog (parhelion) is a common bright circular spot on a solar halo. It is an atmospheric optical phenomenon primarily associated with the reflection or refraction of sunlight by small ice crystals making up cirrus or cirrostratus clouds. Often, two sun dogs can be seen (one on each side of the sun) simultaneously.

i think its hilarious that you took pics of your cat… and the sun dog
the dogs (our furry ones) paid the cats to be their “stunt models” for the day… I believe the total fee was 5 fishy biscuits for .25 hours of work.
Not bad pay for doing the same thing they do every morning!
