Cake pops

I’ve been amassing a variety of cake pop characters since last fall – these are some of my favs!

    I love your Zebra pops! How did you make them?

      Hi Heather,
      Well, the little zebras took some trial and error to get the head shape right. The outside has black non periels for the nostrils, candy coated sunflower seeds for ears, black licorice for the mane and then black gel for the eyes and stripes. That’s it. :)

    I really need to make girrafe cake pops this weekend what did you use for the ears/horns (not sure what you call them)

    How did u make the monkey pops? Im making babyshower pops and the theme is monkeys. Im having a little trouble.

      Hi Leila, Well, I feel your pain. I had the same issue when I made them too. In the end, I used a caramel for the face. I took one soft caramel, put in the microwave (probably on defrost) for a few seconds until it becomes pliable, then quickly roll it out flat. If necessary, roll it out between two pieces of parchment paper to prevent sticking. Once it’s thin enough, I cut out the entire face piece using one round cookie cutter, then cut into it with other cutters or an exacto – to be honest, I can’t remember exactly. Then put on the eyes and mouth with glitter gel. I hope that helps!!
